About FlashStacks
One line: FlashStacks is an iPhone flashcard app that puts your cards in Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, turns PDFs into decks with AI, and schedules reviews with spaced repetition.
Short description: FlashStacks is a flashcard and study app for iPhone. Cards appear in Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy widgets, where you can reveal the answer and move to the next card without opening the app. Reviews are scheduled with an SM-2-style spaced-repetition system. Premium generates 10–100 cards from a PDF such as lecture slides, creates image occlusion cards from diagrams, and includes 5,100 vocabulary cards for French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin.

What makes it different
- Built around widgets. Most flashcard apps need you to open them; FlashStacks puts the next card on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.
- From lecture slides to a deck. Upload a PDF and review an AI-drafted deck, including image occlusion cards from diagrams.
- Ready-made vocabulary. Language packs that rotate through your Lock Screen during the day.
It isn't the right choice for everyone: there's no Android, desktop or sync, and no shared-deck library. See our comparison with Anki, Quizlet, RemNote and Brainscape.
